Arts And Culture
Our region offers a wealth of art and entertainment from dynamic music and dance to invigorating theatre and lectures, and more. Idaho State University’s L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center crowns the local arts scene high atop a hillside that offers vistas as inspiring as the artists who perform there.

In addition to our vibrant arts scene, Pocatello plays host to an abundance of annual community events, including:
The Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo
The DNCFR will celebrate it’s 23rd Anniversary this year at the ISU
Holt Arena and is one of the three largest events held in Pocatello,
ID. Drawing on average, 27,000-30,000 spectators, the DNCFR has
historically provided the largest crowds for one event at Holt Arena.
Today, there are over 240 caring and hard working volunteers who spend
countless hours in rodeo preparations year after year.
Since
its inception, the event featuring circuit champions from across the
country has continued to grow and has become known as a prestigious
event that PRCA cowboys, cowgirls, and contract personnel strive for.
Simplot Games
Each year on the third weekend in February, the Simplot Games
offer athletes the opportunity to go head-to-head against the finest
high school competitors in the U.S. and Canada. Held in Pocatello, Idaho , Simplot Games is the nation's premier indoor track and field event for high school athletes.
Located in Holt Arena on the campus of Idaho State University, the
Games' unique 200 meter banked-board track is one of the fastest in the
nation. Records are broken each year at this one-of-a-kind indoor
facility.
Some of the 2000 young athletes who take part in the Simplot Games
each year will go on to find glory in their college careers. Others may
even go on to the Olympics. But for everyone who competes, the Simplot
Games provides a unique and rewarding experience.
